In this busy life we live so often the really important things get pushed to the back with the pressures of work, the 24-hour contact with business and the sheer noise of distraction that surrounds us day and night.
It’s called a Work Life Balance, and we all know the that the loading is well on the work side.
That is why it is so important to take some quiet time together to not let anything come between each other, do Nothing together, do something together, but most importantly be together and focused on each other in a calming and relaxing atmosphere.
That’s why I started up my Holiday Cottages, to be a place where no matter the weather guests could come and feel immediately relaxed and have time for their partner. A place where they would feel comfortable, calmed and at home with because of the atmosphere and style of the place.
In that peace it is so easy to be happy and rediscover how much you cherish each other’s company.
A couple of days away, recharging the batteries of your relationship can last a long time and help tip that balance back the right way.

We have a range of holiday cottages for couples, from cosy romantic bolt-holes like The Old Monkey, to cottages that are steeped in history and set in picturesque, medieval hamlets like Water Cottage.
Cottages like The Bakery, Dons Barn, Rose Cottage, The Stables, Mill Cottage and Spadgers have enchanted guests for years and have a loyal following of people who want to get away from it all to spend some special time with the one they love.
The coast is never more than an hour away, or sometimes just a good walk from a few of our cottages such as Laundry Cottage, Queenies and Cissys in Aldeburgh – recognised as England’s best unspoilt seaside town. Outside Tollesbury with views to the Sea and beautifully remotes lie The Hexagon and The Wobbin – you wont be disturbed here except for the sounds of nature.
We believe in restoration not renovation, so when you see a beautiful old exterior you will find inside a beautiful period interior; not a modern suburban renovation.
