Cottage Walk Through

You enter the cottage into a large downstairs area almost split in two by beams to provide a lovely dining area which extends into a very well equipped and impressive kitchen. To the right on the other side of the beams is a large cosy sitting area with a big wood burning stove to relax in front of.

The beautiful broad wood floor and the ancient, exposed beams clearly show the age of the cottage and create a special atmosphere for guests to savour.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a big master bedroom, in between them is a lovely bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.

The Cottage is in a quiet dead-end lane so there is no noise from passing traffic and there is unrestricted parking in the lane.

The owners Helen and Alex provides you with a lovely Breakfast Hamper, fresh flowers and a bottle of Fizz help you unwind. There are basics like coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, etc, in the cottage.

  • A lovely cottage where every detail is thought through. Small, but very nice garden with a great patio, especially in the evenings with the garden lights turned on. Very quiet and safe. Great facilities and walking distance to everything. One minute walk to nearest pub and the historic centre of Saffron Walden is only a four/five minutes walk away, with lots of restaurants, cafes, butcher, take aways, groceries and famous markets etc. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay in this stunning cottage. Everything is perfect. We have rented quite a few cottages in England over the years, and this is definitely our favourite. Thank you so much.
