Long Melford (50 minutes from Cambridge) is one of the few Suffolk villages sitting upon the beautiful River Stour. Here you will find picturesque scenery of wildlife, and you can even enjoy a day out on the river.
Long Melford famous Medieval high street is full of quaint, bespoke little shops and has some delightful pubs and restaurants which serve up delicious food and local beer.

The cottages are also well situated for activities and places of interest, such as Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, famous for its Tudor re-enactment, swimming pools in the local towns and ancient Castles like Framlingham and Orford are always interesting places to visit. There are many other fun family activities like horse riding, walking, canoeing, cycling, sailing, or swinging through the treetops on a zip wire adventure course!
Our closest cottage to Cambridge is just 20 minutes away in the delightful town of Saffron Walden in Miller Cottage a former Saffron pickers cottage in a quiet ancient cul-de-sac witha park at one end and just a few hundred meters from the wonderful ancient market at the Centre of this vibrant and historic town.
