Its twice-weekly market, held in the historic town square, is as vibrant and colourful as any you might find in the South of France. Our much-loved Miller Cottage is tucked away in a peaceful historic mews just 300 yards from the gates of Audley End. It was originally a saffron picker’s cottage and is now beautifully restored with period charm, but also a luxurious kitchen and bathroom.
Sleeping three and welcoming dogs, it’s one of our most popular retreats. Outside, the private garden is a hidden gem — a tranquil space that comes alive in the evening when the fairy lights switch on, inviting you to enjoy a glass of wine or an alfresco supper.
Across the road are the gorgeous Bridge End Gardens (yes, they deserve a second mention!) and the excellent Eight Bells gastropub, while the historic market square is just a short stroll away.
