We have cottages in private Nature Reserves, three are where the owner was an avid Antique collector and the interiors are just magical, which is why they were included in The Sunday Times 100 coolest Cottages list. We have a lovely Mill conversion also in a 70-acre Nature Reserve with miles of stunning walks through the adjacent Nature Reserves down hidden valleys to an ancient, thatched church. We have medieval Hall Houses; one is beside the Ford in Suffolks prettiest Medieval Village and a step back in time, which why it is often closed off for filming Period dramas.
All our cottages have dog owners in mind and there will always be a map with great dog walks straight from your cottage.
Suffolk is a magical county where you might only be 90 minutes from London, but it feels like hundreds of miles away with its tiny, picturesque villages, single track lanes which meander aimlessly but are great for taking out our bicycles to investigate the excellent local pubs where dogs, boots and children are always welcome and the food is outstanding.
To help you enjoy your cottage and its surroundings we supply bicycles for you to explore the local countryside and maps with all the best places to visit marked on it.
So many of our guests have fallen in love with Suffolk and come back to us many, many, times. It is not unusual to find a guest telling us how they came on a special weekend break where a marriage proposal was made, and how they came back on so many of their anniversaries, later bringing their children with them.
