Riverside Holiday Cottages in rural Suffolk…
When staying at our riverside holiday cottages in Suffolk and waking up to sunshine beaming through your bedside window, birds gleefully singing away and surrounded by lavish furnishings and luxuries you instantly fall into a really homely and relaxing atmosphere.
These riverside holiday cottages are located in such a rural area of the beautiful Essex & Suffolk countryside, you will even doubt yourself when you find out that you are only 90 minutes outside of London.
Why not bring your dog to enjoy your stay at a cottage by a river? Our riverside holiday cottages are all dog friendly, and we even provide extra doggie towels just in case he goes just a bit too crazy in the nearby river!
The River Stour is a beautiful river in East Anglia. It forms most of the boundary between the counties of Suffolk and Essex – flowing through the Dedham Vale; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. John Constable drew much inspiration from this area as you can see with the landscape paintings in the gallery. Constable, Thomas Gainsborough and Paul Nash have all portrayed various paintings of the Stour Valley.
A select few of our lovely riverside holiday cottages even have their own lake. At Mill Cottage you can go wild swimming and fishing in the beautiful lake right on your back door.
I have two lovely big canoes at the Old Grove Farm which I may be able to lend to guests if I am around. This would be for a day out in the gorgeous River Stour. Contact us for more details.
