The Edwardstone White Horse gets awarded ‘The Best Pub in Suffolk’
The White Horse Inn: A Suffolk Favourite with Fantastic Food Pop-Ups
The White Horse Inn in Edwardstone is a much-loved pub among guests staying at The Grove Cottages: Snow Cottage, Rose Cottage, The Bakery, Dons Barn, Farm Cottage or Orchard Cottage and it’s easy to see why. With its relaxed atmosphere, fantastic selection of craft beers as well as its own Brewery beers, and regular pop-up food events, it’s a place that always offers something special.

Now The Daily Telegraph has awarded it ‘The best Pub in Suffolk’ because it is a real Pub, not only a Camra pub with a great variety of ever changing quality beers from all around, but it also has its own Brewery on site producing some very interesting Sour Beers, the pub has not turned into a restaurant although they do make their own pizza’s and lovely cheese & charcuterie boards and dogs, children, walkers, cyclist are all very welcome. Basically, what a real Pub is all about.

The Edwardstone White Horse tries Turkish flavour.
On Saturdays, the pub will host Tasty Turk, a food truck known for its authentic Turkish dishes cooked over charcoal. Usually found in Essex, London, and Hertfordshire, Tasty Turk is making a welcome stop in Suffolk, serving up freshly grilled chicken and lamb shish, chargrilled halloumi, and lahmacun—a traditional Turkish flatbread topped with seasoned lamb, onions, fresh tomatoes, and red pepper.
This is just one of many excellent pop-ups the White Horse regularly hosts. Wagyu Burgers and Street Food is a Friday night favourite, and the pub itself serves up sourdough pizzas and charcuterie boards, perfectly paired with its barrel-aged sour beers.

Located just a 15-minute walk across the fields from our cottages, the White Horse Inn is a true countryside gem—whether you’re after a casual drink, a delicious meal, or a lively evening with great food vendors. With its welcoming feel and ever-changing menu of delights, it’s no wonder it was recently named the best pub in Suffolk by The Telegraph.
