This cottage is not graded in any special way and all worktops, bathroom fittings, beds and chairs are standard heights.

Dogs are welcome in this cottage.

The Old Steam Mill

There is parking immediately in front of the cottage for normal/overnight parking.

The Old Steam Mill has a smart TV, a radio and Bose speaker, it is completely self-contained and is inclusive of towels, bedding and a generous welcome breakfast pack.

There is WiFi provided for guests. Mobile signal at the cottage is good for most providers but can be patchy in the general area.

The owners live in the house next door and are usually available to assist guests with any queries.

There are maps and masses of information on local attractions in the cottage plus all important emergency numbers like doctors, hospital, dentist, taxi and vets.

The Old Steam Mill is a 2 floor cottage with open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen downstairs. There is also a ground floor double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC. There is an open plan double bedroom upstairs with an en-suite bathroom. There are ceiling supports and areas of low ceiling heights, but generally ceiling heights upstairs are good.

There is a wood-burning stove in the living room and remote-controlled central heating throughout the cottage.

The parking area is gravel stone and there is a short brick and stone path to the front entrance with a 4-inch steps up to the main door. The entrance opens directly into the open plan living room. There are two 7 inch steps up to the kitchen/dining area and to the start of the stairs.

There are French doors from the living room to the rear garden with a 1.5 inch step up to the threshold and a 6 inch step down in to the garden.

There is a back door leading off the kitchen with a 12 inch step down to a brick pathway.

The doorway to the ground floor bedroom is 24 inches wide with a very small threshold. The doorway to the en-suite shower room is 28 inches wide, the entrance to the shower is 23.5 inches with a 1.5 inch step up.

There are french doors leading to the garden from the ground floor bedroom with a 7 inch step down to the outside seating area.

The stairs to the second floor are of normal width and steepness with a banister and a half landing. The first floor bedroom has beams and ceiling supports and there are 2 x 8 inch steps approaching the bath in the en-suite bathroom. There is a door from the upstairs bedroom out to the first floor terrace which leading down three 4 inch steps.

Externally there is access from the parking area around to the rear garden without steps or significant level changes, and this continues on around to the garden seating area.

The outside seating area has loose gravel rather than a hard surface.
