Where to catch the best Bonfire & Fireworks events in Suffolk

Credit - East Anglian Daily Times The Big Night Out – Melford Hall, Long Melford (2015)   Saturday 29th October – Boxford Fireworks & Latern Parade Year after year Boxford provides a fantastic bonfire and firework display and we expect 2016 to be no different. Last year, the Lantern Parade was led by Bury St Edmunds Boys’ Brigade Marching Band. They left behind a unique legacy of beautiful timber framed buildings. If you would like to delve into a bit of history over Bonfire Night weekend, the Lantern Walk will have you escorted by an experienced guide to look around the village by lantern light and listen to stories of Lavenham’s past. The evening will draw to a close with hot drinks and home made cakes in the Guildhall. The Lantern Walk is also on Thursday 10th and Saturday 26th November. This is a brilliant pub just a 10 minute walk from here at The Grove Farm; where Dons Barn, Rose, Snow, Orchard and Farm Cottage are all located. There will be live music from the fantastic Harry Slater Band, and as always good food, great local ales and fun people! 6:00pm – Start Ticket Prices: FREE Nearby Cottages: – The Grove Farm Cottages, Edwardstone   Saturday 5th November 2016 – Heveningham Hall Fireworks Display, Heveningham Self-acclaimed as Suffolk’s “Most Spectacular” Fireworks Display, which features at Heveningham Hall. A massive bonfire sets the scene for a spectacular fireworks display, along with a traditional funfair, fish and chips, hog roast, BBQ and tasty local foods. There will also be some featured live music from some live bands, including ‘The Matadors’ and ‘Crumbs for Comfort’. Usually more than 10,000 people attended the event in the grounds of Long Melford Hall, all keen to feel the warmth of the giant bonfire and secure a front row view of the stunning pyrotechnic display, which is carefully choreographed and staged by Pains Fireworks.
