A magical retreat, tucked away in the Suffolk countryside, Deepwell Barn is a gorgeous Grade II listed, thatched barn, dating from the 15th century.
Surrounded by the lovely countryside of Buxhall Vale, near Stowmarket, the barn sleeps two people (plus one baby and two pets) has exposed beams, bags of character and lots of private, outdoor space for picnics, lawn games or lazing in the hammock!
The barn dates from the 15th century and is filled with lovely old beams. The atmosphere is light and airy with a lovely mix of old and new. Views of the garden through the floor to ceiling windows and the contemporary touches, making it a restful place to be.
Upstairs, the galleried, beamed bedroom with a luxurious, king-sized bed, has an en-suite (also beamed!) bathroom with a bath and shower attachment.
One of the main features of this charming cottage is the fabulous outside area. Right outside the kitchen door, is a sunny patio for ‘al fresco’ dining and a private garden for playing badminton, boules or croquet (equipment supplied). A BBQ is also available for the lovely long summer evenings.
Step across the driveway and there are two acres of lawn, woodland and orchard, with more seating, a pit fire and even a hammock! A 25 minute walk across fields will take you to the local pub, The Buxhall Arms and bikes are supplied for exploring the area.
The orchard is a lovely shady area for relaxing during the summer, enjoying a picnic or swinging gently in the hammock with a glass of wine.
