Announcing The Tryst, a Fabulous 15thC Cottage in Medieval Lavenham

We are very excited to show you around the latest addition to our selection of romantic cottages: The Tryst, a 15th century, Grade I listed cottage in the medieval village of Lavenham. _DSC9722 Sleeping five (plus two dogs), The Tryst is heavily beamed and full of charm and character. The kitchen is warmed gently by the Aga, there is a private and enchanting walled garden and the rooms are beautifully furnished with antiques and original works of art. Set in the heart of of Lavenham, which is thought to be one of the finest medieval villages in the country,  The Tryst is just steps away from art galleries, boutiques, some wonderful restaurants as well as footpaths through the gentle Suffolk countryside. DSC_8462 Lavenham, one of Suffolk’s ‘Wool Towns’ was the 14th richest town in England during the reign of Henry VIII, and this wealth is still evident in the magnificent, medieval architecture that we see today. lavenham-cottages-grove The appearance of the village has changed little over the years, with half-timbered houses leaning merrily over narrow streets, which are home to more than 300 listed buildings. _DSC9732 Squishy sofas in The Tryst invite you to sit down and relax and the cottage has wifi, an internet enabled TV and extensive library of DVDs, books and magazines. self-catering-cottage-tryst The kitchen is warmed by the Aga and has a table for a cosy breakfast time. The single room has French doors leading out into the garden.
