Wow – have we got a treat lined up for you! We are very excited about the latest cottage to join us here at The Grove Cottages; Lovejoy’s Mill, a 17th century converted water mill, is on the Suffolk/ Essex border, on the country estate where the TV series ‘Lovejoy’ was filmed. This beautifully converted 17th Century Mill is at the end of a tiny little lane in the Belchamp Brook Valley, with views over pretty water meadows. The setting could hardly be more romantic or peaceful and it’s only a 90 minute drive from London. Lovejoy’s Mill sleeps two and dogs are welcome. Squishy sofa, cosy woodburning stove (don’t forget to pack the wine); a perfect location for a romantic weekend for two. The bedroom is full of character and original features; a delightful place for a peaceful night’s sleep. Fresh flowers, orginal art and stylish furnishings are all features of this cottage. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up a feast and a welcome breakfast basket will of course be ready and waiting! Views of the countryside through the pretty arched windows. Dogs are welcome and bikes are supplied if you want to cycle the country lanes surrounding Lovejoy’s Mill. After a long country walk or bike ride, what about coming home to enjoy a meal in this cosy eating area? Or you could always watch the sunset from this little seat outside on a nice day. Pretty countryside surrounds Lovejoy’s Mill, which makes it ideal for those who enjoy peace and tranquility, watching wildlife, walks and bike rides. As well as bikes, a BBQ is provided too and visitors are welcome to use the tennis court at Belchamp Hall, which is just up the lane. We have two other cottages on the Belchamp Hall estate: Lovejoy’s and The Lovejoy Studio, so if you want to holiday with friends, these three cottages together can accommodate seven people and dogs are welcome in all three. Come and see Lovejoy’s Mill for yourself! This restored mill has everything you need for a relaxing break in Suffolk, so why not treat yourself to a stay in this lovely rural retreat on the Suffolk/Essex border? We also have a range of other, equally delightful places for you to explore on the coast and in the lovely Suffolk countryside. Hope to see you soon!
