Discover: Safety Measures

Please read the following Safety Measures that we are taking to protect you, as they also affect Arrival and Departure times, and what extras we provide you with.

Dear Guests.

Please read these important safety measures that we are taking to ensure that you have a safe and happy stay with us.

This will affect you especially with regards to arrival and departure times and also in regard to what we provide in the cottages.

These are uncertain times and we are doing our best to ensure your safety and happiness and thank you for your understanding.

These procedures may change so please do check with the cottage manager when you call to arrange an arrival time a couple of days before arrival.

So…

We will not currently be offering the usual meet and greet service. Whilst we obviously don’t wish to appear inhospitable we feel allowing you to check in and out alone complies with the social distancing guidelines we all need to adhere to.

On arrival your property will be left unlocked and the keys left on the dining room table. To ensure maximum time between guests we request that you do not check in until 5pm and depart by 9am on your day of departure.

Rather than the usual welcome basket we will leave you a bottle of wine and crisps for your arrival. We have also left you some sachets of coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Should you wish to use the coffee machine please do bring your own coffee beans.

Along with this we have left a small bottle of antibacterial sanitizer, washing up liquid in the kitchen. The bathroom we have left travel size shower gels, shampoo and anti bac hand wash.

Please note that for the time being we will no longer be providing a mid-stay clean service.

So if you have booked for more than a week we are happy to leave you extra towels and bedding should you wish for it and we ask that you leave the dirty laundry bagged up for us.

Following new guidelines for holiday rentals we have implemented new cleaning procedures before your arrival to ensure the highest level of hygiene.

These include:

All cleaners wearing PPE.

High grade anti-viral disinfectant will be used to sanitize after cleaning has taken place, these will be used on all surfaces and of course paying particular attention heavy use items such as worktops, tables, remote controls , switches, sockets, cords, door and window handles, thermostats, plugs and appliances.

We will be using a mister to increase the level of sanitation in the property.

Antibacterial soap and gel will be left in the property for your use.

We have de-cluttered the properties as much as possible so non-essential items which could be more difficult to clean have been temporarily removed such as ornaments, board games, hair dryers, decorative furnishings as well as cushions and throws.

Leaflets and maps have been removed from the property as they are paper

and not easily cleaned between guests, it may be worth researching places to visit before your stay. We are always available on the end of the phone should you wish to quiz us about local attractions or walks in the area.

Notes for guests during stay and departure:

We encourage you to maintain the cleanliness of the property at all times during your stay.

Please do not use the laundry room during your stay. (We have placed an iron and ironing board in each property for your use)

Should you use the bikes during your stay please ensure you clean the handle bars both before and after use using the wipes we have left in the bike shed.

On your day of departure we request that you depart the property by 9am which will allow the cleaner plenty of time to clean the property and allow it some time to stand empty before the next arrival.

We would be very grateful if you could please strip your bed leaving only the mattress protectors and pillow protectors on the bed. If the dirty linen could be placed in one of the bags provided with towels being placed in the pink bag. If you could please knot the top of the bag and leave these in the bedroom of your property.

Please ensure all crockery cutlery you have used is in the dishwasher and switched on before your departure.

We request that all rubbish is removed from the property and placed in the correct bin at the bottom of the drive. The black is for the household rubbish, green bin for recycling and glass left next to the bins.

Please leave your property unlocked and they key on the dining room table.

We would be very grateful if you could please complete a guest comments form we have left for you on the dining room table.

Should you be displaying symptoms of COVID-19 or live in a household where someone else has symptoms please re arrange you booking with us. You should stay at home and not travel to us.

Should you develop any symptoms whilst staying with us please immediately inform us, check out of the property and return home to self-isolate according to current government guidance.
