Borleymere Shepherd’s Hut

Borleymere Shepherd’s Hut is a traditionally built wooden hut on wheels and the photographs on the website clearly show its layout. It is set in its own grounds (several acres) of grassland and woodland and sits beside the water of Borleymere.

It has its own farm gate entrance off a small country lane and a short track through the woods takes you to an area to park the car. The hut is then about 50 metres away, there is a wheelbarrow provided to move luggage. The setting is very much ‘off-road’ and the land is undulating.

There are three open wooden steps up to the entrance door of the hut. The bed in the hut is a standard 4’6” double.

There is no power in the hut but 150 metres away across the field there is a small shed that has power points (for charging phones etc.) and a freezer.

The mobile phone signal is generally good and guests have been able to access 3G and 4G satellite connection at the hut, but this will depend on your mobile provider. There are maps and plenty of information in the hut plus information on important emergency numbers like doctors, hospital, dentist, taxi, vets etc.

We urge all guests who are concerned about the suitability of the Shepherd’s Hut for their break to speak to the owners and we can provide you with their contact details.
