A Very Pretty and Historic Cottage
Little Cote offers five lucky guests a high level of quality and space in a real luxurious, countryside cottage... Also, with 3 acres of wildflower meadow to enjoy.
Mark Scott
Little Cote is a charming 16th century Grade II listed farmhouse surrounded by countryside. This cosy Suffolk house has been lovingly restored and provides spacious accommodation for five guests.
The enclosed garden leads through to the private three acre wildflower meadow with pathways and seating areas cleverly placed to get the best views to the countryside beyond.
The beautiful antique furniture and oriental rugs are blended with handcrafted modern furniture, creating a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere in this romantic holiday cottage. The owners Cherry and Stephen have both worked in horticulture and have created a fragrant all year round garden for guests to enjoy.
The doorway into the cottage takes you straight into the farmhouse kitchen which has a lovely light atmosphere, framed by the beautiful ancient beams. This is the heart of the house and a great place to sit around the table and open a bottle of wine. Off this dining area is a well-appointed modern kitchen, perfect for preparing meals.
To the right there is also a shower room and loo, and a small utility room with a washing machine. To the left there is a study which has a full sized single bed for a fifth guest, and on the other side of the staircase is the large sitting room. This room has a comfortable sofa and armchairs and an impressive inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove.
Upstairs there is a large double bedroom, a separate bathroom with a pretty Victorian roll top bath and a large second bedroom which has comfy twin beds.
Little Cote offers guests a high level of quality and space in a very pretty and romantic cottage not far from London.
If you are a larger group of up to nine guests, then both Skylarks and Little Cote, which is adjacent, can be adapted to accommodate you as a group click here for details. They back on to one another and do not normally disturb each other’s privacy, but there is an interconnecting door accessed from the utility room in Skylarks that can be opened up.
There is a large, pretty, mature garden almost surrounding Little Cote and outside furniture for you to enjoy it.
The garden is also enclosed so dog owners don’t have to worry.
Little Cote has an outstanding three acre wildflower meadow next to the cottage that you are welcome to enjoy, The owners have cut walkways around it for you to get the best views. There are also tables and chairs for you to enjoy a picnic looking out onto the wildflower meadow and beyond that, to the Suffolk countryside.
This a great spot for bird watching, you can even collect eggs from the free range bantams for breakfast.
This cosy romantic farmhouse sits in a quiet single track lane surrounded by farmland and is a perfect place to relax and unwind.
This part of Suffolk has a subtle beauty and the gently undulating countryside and quiet country lanes make it perfect for cycling and walking – bikes are provided for guests to explore the pretty lanes and nearby villages.
The nearest village is Old Newton which is a small agricultural community, with a pub ‘The Shoulder of Mutton’ and a village shop, the ancient market town of Stowmarket is three miles away.
"When we opened Little Cote, an Elizabethan farmhouse built sometime around 1590, we knew it should reflect its natural environment. It sits in three acres of gardens, wildflower meadows and is surrounded by a gently rolling agricultural landscape.
Our house style is ‘relaxed country comfort’ and we hope guests will feel at ease wearing anything from welly boots to high heels! Our rural style honours the lime plaster and mighty oak beams which have created this special place. And from the beginning, our ethos has been to use the garden and countryside as our inspiration; I hope you agree that our décor and furnishings (often refurbished auction finds) reflect this.
Like a lot of people in this area, we try to live in a ‘sustainable way’, so our welcome basket includes whenever possible local, organic food. For example, freshly baked bread from Woosters near Bury St Edmunds or Palmers of Haughley. Our free range bacon comes from Shelly Brand (the young owner of the smallholding half a mile away in Finningham). Eggs come from our own, free range hens and for everything else, including Ecover cleaning products, which is all we use, from Alder Carr Farm in Needham Market.
Mid Suffolk is a ‘Green’ area, an echo perhaps of the work done by Eve Balfour in the 1920’s, one of the original founders of the Soil Association, whose ‘Haughley Experiment’ took place a short walk from Little Cote, at New Bells Farm, Haughley.
Unlike Eve, we are not farmers, but we do grow vegetables, fruit and flowers AND without resorting to nasty chemicals. This is because the gardens and wildflower meadow provide such a wonderful habitat for animals and plants of all kinds. In spring, we enjoy a carpet of Cowslips, which are then followed by Orchids and Oxeye daisies; irresistible to bees, moths and butterflies.
The longer summer grasses, Purple Vetch and Knapweed are home to field mice and voles, which in turn attract Kestrels and Barn Owls. And all year, we are visited by the iconic Brown Hare, Roe and Muntjac Deer. A guest who worked for the RSPB once counted 27 different species of birds at Little Cote and I haven’t even mentioned the amphibians and reptiles: who knew there was so much going on? In autumn, we feast on Apple and Blackberry pie and at Christmas time toast the New Year in with Sloe Gin made with fruits from the Blackthorn in our hedgerow – not too bad a life is it?
But look back a few months at one of the highlights of early summer, the return of the Swifts in late May, early June. They nest in the roof eves of Little Cote, just above the bathroom window. If you are relaxing in the bath and looking out, you can easily see them flying back and forth to their nest at unbelievable speeds. The other highlight is the Barn Owl hunting in the meadow at dusk, always thrilling, always magical and if it is the first time you have seen it, unforgettable.
Our main road is called Silver Street, a single track lane, big enough for one car, which is on average what you might see each hour. So, cycling around here is easy and we ride what is called an ‘Elephant Bike’. They are refurbished Royal Mail Postal Bikes, saved from landfill and given a new lease of life by a company who support a charity in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Africa. So a very, very good cause, sustainable, but most importantly great fun to ride; pack a picnic and take off. You can follow the Elephant Bike story at www.cycleofgood.com.
And although we are not far from Stowmarket, the A14 and the modern world, one criticism levelled at this part of Suffolk is that it is very nice, very peaceful, but nothing ever happens!
Great isn’t it, long may it continue!"
Little Cote is situated three miles from the lively little town of Stowmarket with its Street Market every Thursday and Saturday.
The excellent Museum of East Anglian Life is based in Stowmarket and really worth a visit.
Helmingham Hall, the World famous gardens surrounding the Tudor Moated Hall in a 4oo acre deer park are a 20 minute drive away.
The Historic town of Bury St Edmunds is also just a 20 minute drive away and there are some lovely places to visit there like the famous Abbey Gardens, The Cathedral, Moyes’s House Museum, the Theatre Royal, The Green King Brewery and the beautiful pedestrian centre with its bustling market on Saturdays and beautiful architecture. The town is bursting with interesting cafes and restaurants.
West Stow Country Park and Anglo-Saxon Village is a very interesting place to visit and just a 20 minute drive away
Ickworth ‘An Italianate Palace in the heart of Suffolk’ is about 25 minutes away as are the famously preserved Medieval villages of Lavenham, Long Melford and Kersey.
The unspoilt Suffolk Coast is under an hour’s drive away, where you can discover Shingle Street, Orford, Dunwich, Aldeburgh and Southwold.

Great little cottage. Very relaxing, just what we needed. Thanks
Beautiful cottage, everything we needed and more!
Another fab stay! We really don't want to leave!
This is probably the sixth time we have stayed with Grove Cottages. Never ever been disappointed! Well Done! Well worth travelling from Chester just to stay in cottages with such high standards - thank you so much!
We fell in love with this cottage the moment we walked through the door! An absolutely heavenly cottage and so tasteful; lamplight, exquisite old beams - the sense of history just amazing - a privilege to stay here and spotlessly clean... Thank you! Beautiful framed prints, the best book collection ever(!) and as for the meadow....just beautiful...Moonlit walks and deer in the morning sun...how lucky we are?! Thank you Cherry & Steve xx
Idyllic country getaway - thank you for the wonderful stay!
This is a very special place and we have enjoyed our stay here very much. Nothing less than excellent
Absolutely stunning cottage with beautiful garden and wild flower meadow. Peaceful, relaxing and thoughtful touches such as the lovely welcome basket. We really loved it and a fantastic area to explore. Can't wait to visit again as the trees mature. Beautiful.
A wonderfully peaceful and cosy retreat. We spent a week here with our three boys. Enough space to spread out and run around. Beautiful gardens and lovely family walks from the door. Lots of lovely thoughtful touches - more great books than we had time to read. A place which forces you to slow down. Relaxed but luxurious. A real treat, a lovely hammock, collecting eggs from the chickens and the wonderful selection of books and games
Hi Grove Cottages/Cherry and Steve An overdue note to thank you all so much for our fabulous stay at Little Cote last weekend. From the warm welcome from Cherry (complete with fresh lettuce from the garden) to the soft furnishings, comfy beds, well laid out kitchen and fabulous shower, not to mention spectacular gardens and setting we and our Australian ladies absolutely loved it. It is a great location for exploring the true Suffolk countryside and was a lovely restful space to come back to each day. Many thanks and kind regards Suzanne May and Family
A very warm welcome from Steve & Cherry and a useful overview of local pubs and walks etc. Great to be able to make use of the cosy interior and sit in the beautiful garden. Nice to be able to relax on site and not need to rush off to do things
Breathtakingly beautiful, full of delightful charm, so clean and cosy. Beautifully placed books make me want to stay here and read forever! Felt so at home here from the second I walked through the door. So well equipped, bedding such high quality and some lovely touches such as a welcome basket, lovely hand soaps and sumptuous towels. Thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful cottage!
A beautiful cottage tastefully decorated and plenty of space for all. Lovely mattresses and a wonderful wood fire for chilly days. The welcome pack was very generous and the cottage had everything that we needed. Would love to return one day.
Charming cosy cottage sympathetically restored by the owners. Tasteful interior, luxury towels and bedding. Fully equipped, including games, books and DVDs. Everything thought of for a very welcoming countryside break. Lovely country walks from the front door. Seen deer, horses and even a barn owl. Beautiful views from upstairs windows. Quiet, tranquil location. Ideal for that relaxed break from all the hustle and bustle. Will be back!!
Steve & Cherry are excellent hosts. They have thought thoroughly about everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage is tastefully decorated and very well positioned to visit lovely villages in Suffolk, or going for walks. Excellent attention to details, very warm welcome.
Used Grove Cottages for years. Lighting the fire was a lovely touch. We used the BBQ that you put out on request, along with table and chairs - thank you. Shower is great, good power. Flexibility of the owners to extend our stay
Excellent, would come back! Thank you for accommodating us last minute.
Steve is a very friendly guy, very welcoming. The cottage is lovely and has all you need. Had a fantastic stay
A great cottage, well located in a rural setting but close enough to towns and villages. Good walking in the area.
Very cosy cottage with a beautiful orchard and chickens to have breakfast with. Wonderful lounge and roaring fire and super comfy beds! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, pretty gardens and delightful hosts. We've had a totally relaxing time and would love to return.
The most beautiful cottage in the perfect setting! It's the most luxurious, warm, cosy and beautiful place anyone could wish to be. Meadows, flowers and song birds all around , a truly amazing and healing experience. The trees, herbs and apple, pear and plum orchard, hens laying fresh eggs, and a border of sloes, blackberry, hawthorn and rosehip, all for the picking!
A wonderful cottage with a quiet, beautiful outlook. We loved the bikes. We all loved it, three sisters and mum. Will definitely come again.
Perfect relaxing retreat
Fantastic cottage...has everything you would need! We enjoyed the walks, the bikes, the local community. Everything was top shelf!
A delightful cottage in a lovely setting. A real wrench to leave.
Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful cottage and the meadow is a great place for our little boy to play in. Our dog loved it too! Steve & Cherry were so welcoming, great hamper too, we didn't want to leave. Just perfect, so homely, cosy and relaxing
Little Cote has been a beautifully presented, comfortable home from home and we will be sorry to leave! It is the most well appointed, comfortable properties we've ever stayed in. Thank you! The meadow and accompanying wildlife has provided endless fascination for our young daughters. We hope to be back.
Beautiful cottage, owners very helpful and a fabulous welcome basket.
We have stayed twice now and will return soon. Fantastic, clean accommodation. Everything you need is here.
A truly beautiful little cottage - extremely comfortable!
Lovely stay in a beautiful cottage. Very relaxing, can go back home now feeling rejuvenated and ready for Christmas. The cottage was everything I expected it to be, with an extra touch of added Suffolk magic. Would recommend
Great cottage and great location for exploring. Beautiful meadow garden. We shall be back in 2018! Just about perfect in every way. Very dog friendly and totally tranquil. Home from home but without the phone!
Everything was clean, cosy and spot on when we arrived. Lovely cottage, will be back again
Enjoyed our stay and the wonderful character of the cottage
A beautiful peaceful cottage set in acres of countryside.
A lovely stay at your beautiful cottage. The 'welcome pack' provided some great breakfasts! We have enjoyed the tranquility of the garden and the walk through the meadow, to watch the hares in the fields. Just perfect!
A perfect venue and location for a family reunion. We felt welcome and rested from start to finish. Bliss! Cannot fault the cottage and welcome arrangement. The owners were particularly friendly and helpful.
We have enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage and have especially enjoyed the furniture, pictures and books. We also appreciated the generous welcome basket and the BBQ, plus fuel. We liked walking around the meadow with the chickens and cycling along the lanes. All much appreciated. Thank you!
Perfect set up for 2 families of 4. Beautiful accommodation but the USP has to be the freedom it afforded our children. They loved playing in the meadow - heavenly! We will definitely be back.
Little Cote is full of character, beautifully clean and comfortable. Sitting in the well kept garden and strolling around the wildflower meadow, was a lovely way to relax at the end of the day.
The welcome basket was the best we've ever had! Brilliant that we could bring our two retrievers! Had a great time - love Suffolk!
We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The grounds and the cottage itself were magical. All the local walks and recommendations were very much appreciated.
We were blown away by the quality of everything from the welcome pack, accommodation and hosting by Steve. Fantastic location for visiting the area although we had to force ourselves to go out, as the cottage is so cosy. We were completely bowled over with the charm and cosiness; here for the weekend nothing more we could have wished for.
Have often used Grove Cottages; always beautiful, always reliable, good to know what to expect.
We visit Suffolk annually and always feel at home wherever we stay but particularly so with Little Cote. Storm Doris kept us anchored closer to home this time around and the cottage was just perfect for hunkering down, snug by the fire. It's been beautifully thought out for guests and Steve & Cherry were extremely obliging. We are already discussing coming back to Little Cote again. We've stayed in numerous Suffolk cottages and they have all been wonderful but for us Little Cote pips them to the post!! We love the additional space, the layout, the modern touches mingling with the age of the cottage. We plan to return.
Absolutely lovely cottage, would have loved to come for longer! So peaceful yet close enough to reach A14 and to explore. Everything was great thank you.
We have had a really lovely stay at Little Cote and particularly enjoyed how peaceful and cosy it was. The location was also ideal for us to explore the Suffolk countryside.
A wonderfully relaxing stay - peaceful, beautiful walks. Fabulous welcome basket, thank you.
A wonderful cottage for a relaxing break.
Another wonderfully relaxing weekend away with Grove Cottages! Peace, quiet and a log burner - just what we needed! Thanks again.
Best cottage we have every stayed in. Very warm and cosy with a lovely log fire. Plenty of room to accommodate five people and two bathrooms too! Wonderful welcome pack of food, we were very reluctant to leave and would love to return again.
Lovely, homely cottage to really feel away from it all.
Returned after a couple of years....Steve & Cherry again welcomed us and made us feel at home. A lovely cottage, in a beautiful setting - an ideal relaxing venue.
A very relaxing break, cottage very warm and cosy. A great getaway from city life.
We've loved being back at the cottage and the beautiful walks you have on your doorstep. Hope we'll be back again soon - we might try Skylarks next time.
A gorgeous cottage in a most idyllic location. The house is beautiful and fantastically well equipped. Our two year old adored exploring the lovely gardens and meadow and collecting the eggs from the hens was a daily highlight. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us.
A gorgeous cottage we loved our stay!
We have had a beautiful stay in Little Cote. Very calming, luxurious and lots to do in the areas surrounding - but also great to just chill in the lovely cottage and gardens.
Such a wonderfully peaceful location with a beautiful meadow for us and the dog to run around in!
The cottage is beautiful, a great place to unwind for a couple of days. The kitchen was very well equipped which meant cooking each night was not a chore. The highlight was fulfilling a long held ambition of mine - collecting eggs!
Design and detailing a complete delight from furnishings to finishings, towels to DVDs. Our tastes are one!
It was just lovely to be in the quiet Suffolk countryside - we had a few but gloriously quiet days - thank you. All excellent and better, if it was possible, than some years ago!
Lovely cottage - very comfy beds.
A wonderful place to stay, exactly as advertised. I will definitely use Grove Cottages again. A really outstanding place to stay. A warm welcome with everything provided as expected and some additional touches that were most welcome. The cottage was beautifully clean and well kept and the setting was perfect.
Perfect!
We loved our stay at Little Cote. The perfect way to spend our first wedding anniversary. We spent most of the time in the cottage and gardens as they were all so lovely and peaceful. We loved the warm welcome and extra little touches; the welcome basket, the flowers and the extensive book, music and film collection. We loved how secluded and private it felt too. Thanks so much!
The cottage was perfect for us. I'm known to be quite demanding in terms of cleanliness and quality, I can say I was not disappointed. Everything was to a high standard and we all felt very comfortable. Wish we cold have stayed longer.
Wonderful stay - spectacular cottage and wonderful hosts. Truly exceptional welcome pack!
Perfect peaceful location for a good rest - the only sound we ever heard was birdsong! Such a lovely stay.
We had such an amazing time we don't want to leave but sadly we have to. Peaceful and beautiful, we will be back.
The most perfect little cottage to unwind and relax. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks. Immaculately clean! Although Little Cote is attached to Skylarks it is still totally private, quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended and would love to come back! Don't change a thing it's just perfect!
We had a wonderful time at this lovely and beautifully furnished cottage!
Very relaxing stay in a beautiful cosy cottage. Lots of space for the children to run around and explore. All fantastic - pretty much perfect in every way. Down to the selection of books and DVDs! Thank you Steve & Cherry for the lovely welcome and providing a perfect place for respite.

Beautifully renovated cottage with lots of character, decorated in very good taste with lots of attention to detail. Everything is in excellent condition and clearly lots of thought has gone into providing little things to make the stay more comfortable. The cottage is cosy yet spacious and there is a lovely outside area - garden and meadow - perfect for kids to explore. Many thanks!
Cottage was so comfy, did not want to leave. Warm welcome, warm fire and lovely comfy bed. The welcome basket is such a generous touch. This cottage is very homely but has all the mod cons needed.
Perfect cottage, so relaxing and beautiful location. We had a great time. Amazing cottage....amazing time :-) Thank you.
Great cottage and meadow - the owners Cherry & Steve are great
We had a wonderful stay, we have walked, drunk, eaten, relaxed, laughed and curled up by the fire. What more could four best friends ask for in a weekend. We’ll be back, thank you!

Please can we have this cottage, our grandson has fallen in love with it!!
Rarely, if ever, has a cottage 'ticked' every box for us. Little Cote managed this with ease. Every expectation had been catered for. Add that to it's perfect position and surroundings and for a short time it became a second home!
Great location for cycling...lovely quiet peaceful lanes to cycle down.Delightful cottage in a wonderfully peaceful location.
A great rural retreat in easy reach of London. Very comfortable and surroundings beautiful.
The perfect antidote for hectic lives. Cherry and Steve are very welcoming and we immediately felt at ease. Thoughtful touches throughout the cottage e.g. biscuits for our dog, good books, board games, flowers and a radio, were very much appreciated. Little Cote is beautifully restored, deliciously cosy and wonderfully tranquil. The gorgeous garden and meadow were ideal for relaxation. Thank you so much for a very pleasurable break.

Perfect family getaway. Lots of space, fantastic garden and lovely cottage. Dining area was great, also used to play games. A very peaceful area with lots of nature to soak up. Saw a hare a few times and the surrounding meadows are beautiful. Lots of random seating and lovely grass spots to sit in.
Little Cote s a beautiful retreat - a place where you feel you can reconnect with nature. A lusciously planned garden enhanced by the magical wild flower meadow, bird song, peace and privacy. The cottage itself is a perfect balance of charm and luxury.

We really appreciated little touches like fresh flowers, cooking oil, coals in the BBQ, washing line and pegs.....so many details!

Lovely cottage, set in an idyllic location. Close to A14 gaining access to all parts of Suffolk and Essex.
The very best, most comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage we have ever stayed at.
Excellent! The hallmark of Grove Cottage’s properties is the high standard and their holiday lets and the lovely locations.
Beautiful cottage and garden. Painted in such relaxing colours.
Beautiful cosy cottage furnished to a very high standard. Huge garden for children and dogs to enjoy. Fantastic location off the beaten track.
We had a wonderful stay at Little Cote. The cottage is very welcoming as are the owners.
Fantastic cottage, fantastic location, fantastic time!
Delightful cottage, very well appointed. Perfect location for peace and quiet. Ideal for dog owners with adjacent 'butterfly' meadow and lovely walks near the cottage.
Outstanding luxury cottage. Steve & Cherry have created a perfect location for a family holiday. Our daughter (and our dog) loved the freedom. We loved the décor and the attention to detail! Probably the best holiday we have had in the UK. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!
Beautiful, clean & welcoming cottage. Private, peaceful and close to fantastic local areas for days out.
A beautiful cottage set in lovely grounds. Perfect for a family get-away – the children loved running round the ‘maze’
A little treasure in the Suffolk countryside. Welcoming, friendly, and convenient for exploring the surrounding area. Will definitely return.
A wonderful birthday weekend at Little Cote. The cottage is beautiful as are the gardens and meadow. So peaceful and relaxing. Sherry our corgi, has fallen in love with the garden.
"Dear Steve & Cherry, thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage. We had a lovely weekend and particularly enjoyed the beautiful gardens and meadow. Thank you for the welcome pack, the eggs were lovely".
A truly lovely cottage with such attention given for detail, it's a must to experience
"Such a lovely cottage and the added attention given to detail makes it such a pleasure to experience. Our stay was very, very enjoyable and without doubt we hope to return. Thank you for making us feel at home from day one"

A beautiful cottage and we did not want to leave... Would recommend it to anyone.
"We had a most relaxing time in this very comfortable cottage; you feel at home immediately. The facilities and location (so peaceful and tranquil) will ensure a return visit. Many thanks".
"Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us. All the facilities have been excellent and the attention to detail in all things have made our stay exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable. We especially loved seeing the Hares in the garden in the morning, the surroundings and the super music and books. Thanks so much to Cherry and Steve for their lovely welcome"

This cottage is stunningly presented, it really is without fault.
"Lovely cottage, cosy and homely. We recommend Melford Hall and Ickworth for lovely days out. Very indulgent scones with jam and clotted cream at Wyken Hall and we had the lovely gardens almost to ourselves. Helmingham Hall gardens are also worth a visit. Ate at The Coach House for a somewhat expensive treat but worth every penny- Honor welcomes you into her home as a guest"

"We had a lovely four days here in a very relaxing and comfortable cottage. Everything you could wish for; good local food cooked and eaten here, enjoyed every minute of being in a lovely cottage, even sat outside and had dinner. All in all, one of the best cottages we have stayed in and we will be coming back here again and again. Thank you Cherry & Steve, see you next time"
Yet another enjoyable stay. We have been registered with The Grove Cottages website for 10 years.

"An idyllic combination of comfort and relaxation, paired with beautiful walks and Monopoly close to a roaring fire. Wyken Hall is a gem and a temptingly expensive one at that! All in all this is a slice of heaven and an antidote to reality. Thank you for providing such a beautiful house and all the thoughtful finishing touches including cup cake trays!"
A really cosy friendly cottage with everything we could need. The extra bed downstairs was a life saver and made all the difference. The owners told us about Wyken Farm & Vineyard – what a great place with an exceptional restaurant. Thank you for telling us about this.

We had a wonderful time – what a lovely cottage!
What a find! We have travelled extensively and always stay in houses or apartments and I have to say that Little Cote is the best that we have stayed in. The facilities are great: the decor is like something from an interiors magazine. The beds were comfortable and the lounge with wood burner was very cosy. We had great weather and spent hours in the wildflower meadow attached to the cottage. My gran who is 97 has asked if we can come again (how can we refuse) so we plan to stay again next July and we will hopefully bring along our Dalmatians.
It’s been lovely
Fantastic cottage.
A stunning cottage, beautifully kept and a well thought out lay-out of facilities. We truly did not want to leave!
We had a wonderful time staying in Little Cote during the weekend. The cottage is beautiful and the open fire was a lovely treat. The beds were so comfortable and everything we needed was there. We will certainly be returning and I would recommend to anyone – probably the nicest cottage I have stayed in. Thank you.
Ideal location for peace and tranquillity. Beautiful cottage – tastefully furnished. Lovely weekend, even had sunshine!
Lovely cottage- very well equipped – many thoughtful details – beautifully decorated + very comfortable + relaxing! Loved it!
This is our third time at Grove Cottages and have always had a wonderful time. Little Cote is our favourite cottage so far.
The cottage and the holiday exceeded our expectations – muddy walks in wild weather, pretty villages, lazing by the fire – have tried and failed to read all your books and listen to your music – oh dear, we will have to come again.
Not even the bitter cold March wind and snow, could detract from our stay in this very comfortable, tasteful and classic Suffolk Cottage. Definitely as good as it looks and is described on the Grove Cottage website – though maybe the reality is better.
Your cottage is lovely. We had a nice short getaway from London. Thank you for allowing short stay + dogs! Great to experience more of the UK countryside (Canada originally)
Super stylish and very cosy cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed it and all said it has probably the best cottage we’ve stayed in for long time.
We arrived ahead of severe snow falls which would have kept us in the Chilterns. Thanks to the kindness of Cherry and Steve. Beautiful cosy cottage. Amazing exposed beams. Perfect in every way possible. We will return here many times, hopefully!
We have loved our stay here. It is a warm, cosy cottage and so peaceful. Thank You.
This cottage is a place to come and enjoy remembering what family is all about – it is cosy and peaceful – we have loved our stay and will be definitely be booking again
A beautiful cottage with such a homely feel to it. We had a great New Year here and wouldn't hesitate to come back.
A fabulous, relaxed Christmas in a lovely cottage
Clean, cosy, comfortable - great weekend enjoyed by all.
Great cottage with the best selection of books and music we've encountered in a rental property!
