Before viewing our online Availability Calendar we would like to let you know some important information regarding dates and what is included in the price.

Short Breaks are always welcome. Bookings can start or finish on any Friday, Sunday or Monday - With the exception of some Bank Holidays.

For instance: -

We are happy to accept bookings of any length of stay with a minimum of 2 nights on a weekend and 4 nights midweek - because of this we only very rarely accept Saturday change-overs.

A popular short break is Sunday p.m. - Friday a.m. - which costs the midweek price plus an extra night.

All prices include vat, towels, linen, heating, a generous 'Proper English Breakfast' welcome pack, bikes to ride, a big basket of logs, BBQ, ducks to feed and dogs to walk (if you didn't bring any).

All cottages are complete little homes and facilities include modern central heating, TV & TV Video players, CD player's and CD's, tapes, books, games and a fully equipped kitchen including gas cooking and microwaves. Cots, high chairs and DVD players are available on request.

There is a laundry room with a new washing machine and dryer and there are 12 bikes for the free use of the guests, including one with a child's seat - The South Suffolk Cycle Route runs past the cottages.

We have 2 large professional Canadian canoes for hire, which are fully equipped and licensed for exploring the river Stour, which is navigable from nearby Sudbury all the way to the sea, passing through every location of John Constable's famous paintings English landscape painting.

We also have available for hire a fully equipped large BBQ Barn with a massive BBQ designed to cook whole sides of lamb for larger groups who book all cottages.
