Fey Cottage is next door to both Spadgers and Chateau Lunatic.
You enter the cottage into the main room with its lovely open log fire and cosy settee and armchair, the floor is made of original 'Suffolk White' bricks and has a large Persian rug.
Open stairs lead up to a small double bedroom and the very pretty master bedroom with exposed beams and brickwork.
This cottage is best suited to a couple with a child or three adults.
Through the sitting room you access a very well organised and equipped kitchen, a good sized bathroom with a bath including shower to the right, and straight ahead out into the private sunny garden.
You can walk from the end of the garden straight out into the pretty Suffolk countryside.
Fey Cottage is located on the outskirts of the bustling village of Long Melford near the imposing church off “The Green”.
It is situated by the main road A1093 which takes you to the picturesque villages of Clare and Cavendish.
Long Melford is one of Suffolk’s prettiest villages and is well known for its antique shops and warehouses, which were portrayed in the TV series Lovejoy. The cloth industry dominated the village trades in the 14th – 17th centuries and much of the wonderful architecture stems from this rich period.
There are very many historic buildings in the village, best known are Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, which is famous for its Tudor re-enactments. Both are open for public viewing.
This is a lovely cottage for 3 people to share and explore Long Melford and the best that Suffolk has to offer.
Well behaved pets are always welcome, please refer to this web page All About Bringing Pets for charges and how this cottage may suit your pet.
All prices include vat, towels, soap, linen, heating, a 'Proper English Breakfast' welcome pack and a supply of breakfast basics like real coffee and tea etc.
The cottage is a complete little home and facilities include modern heating, TV, DVD player, books, games and a fully equipped kitchen including gas hob, electric oven and a microwave.

Chateau Lunatique is the closet cottage pictured above, next door to which sits Spadgers Cottage.
Fey Cottage is two doors down from Spadgers, beyond the ivy climbing the wall.
This is the footpath that runs from the back garden of Fey Cottage which is about 30 yards to the left of the people.
Long Melford is one of Suffolk's prettiest and most famous Medieval Villages.
It was used as the backdrop for the well known TV series 'LoveJoy' about the Antique Dealer who seemed to be caught up in detective work: Predictably Long Melford is awash with Antique Shops and there are some good browsing times to be had. There is also a frequent Antique Fair in the School House just 200 yards away from Fey Cottage and often Antique Book Fairs in the Village Hall.
Here are some photos of Long Melford starting with the excellent Black Lion Pub and the Green both of which which are just 150 yards from Fey Cottage.
The Black Lion Pub
The Village Green
This is the Gappmaiers Austrian Restaurant which is in the centre of Long Melford, there are lots of good pubs and restaurants along the highstreet as well as all the shops you could need.
There are 2 stately Homes in Long Melford, both with 400 yards of Fey Cottage.
Melford Hall which is a wonderful building and cared for by The National Trust, it is host to many events and is a very interesting place to visit.
Kentwell Hall is famous for its Tudor Re-enactments and if you have never been to one this is an absolute 'Must'. there are up to 350 Tudor actors living the life and through doing so bringing to life this fabulous Tudor Stately Home, the busy kitchens are amazing !
Check out the website www.kentwellHall.co.uk for more information
Below is a recent article about the Suffolk Coast
Joanna Symons, Telegraph Travel Newspaper January 2nd 2010.
'Popular though the Lake District and West Country are as tourist destinations, they can be rather damp. If you want to reduce the risk of a rainy holiday, statistics show that you should head east.
Suffolk for instance, had only about a third as much rainfall as the Lake District last summer. It also happens to have one of the loveliest stretches of coastline in Britain.
The Met office regional statistics per annum.

Sunday, 4th of April, 2010, Barbara and Des:
A beautiful cosy cottage for two that has been lovingly and sympathetically restored. It more than fullfilled our expectations. What more could you ask for on a cold wintery evening than being snuggled up on a big comfy sofa in front of a fabulous roaring fire with a good glass of wine!! We are already planning our next weekend.
The Grove Cottages holiday cottages have many unique original features like 18th Century Bake ovens and working kitchen ranges, traditional Suffolk Brick floors, wattle and daub walls, 16th Century thatched roofs, massive Inglenook fireplaces, log fires, millstones and exposed beams galore and they are all lovingly restored and period furnished so that they are a joy just to be in.
The Grove Cottages holiday homes are situated in South Suffolk / East Anglia which is less than 2 hours from London or an hour from Cambridge and where the famous English Landscape painter John Constable was born and created such masterpieces as 'The Haywain'.
The Grove Cottages are available all year for weekend and midweek short breaks as well as weekly holidays and the accommodation sleeps from 2 to 6.
We are 4 star rated and provide bikes for our guests to explore the beautiful English countryside.
Please look through our site and you will find out why our guests love it so much here.
Thank you and Happy Hols !
