Directions to The Old Grove Farm

FROM LONDON CITY / HEATHROW / GATWICK / STANSTEAD:
Take the M25 until the exit to the M11 - direction Harlow / Stanstead
Follow the M11 for about 12 miles, take exit at Bishops Stortford / Stansted Airport (junction 8) - at roundabout head east on A120 direction Chelmsford / Colchester
At Braintree by-pass you'll leave the A120 and join the A131 to Sudbury
At Sudbury follow the one-way-system round town following the signs to Lavenham
You will leave Sudbury on the B1115 to Lavenham
At the first village, called Great Waldingfield, you take the 2nd right turning which is marked Folly Road (difficult to see!); if you see a little shop/Post Office you have gone too far and need to turn around
Zero your mile-ometer and go exactly 2.8 miles along Folly Road direction Milden/Lindsey/Kersey. Do not turn off to Edwardstone or to Priory Green or to anywhere else. We are on the right.
A tip: 70% of guests turn right to Edwardstone after 2.6 miles and then get horribly lost, don't do that just keep on the road which at this point bends a bit to the left, we are just 200 yards further on. Come into the farm-yard and bang loudly on the house door at the back of the yard.
The Grove Cottages holiday cottages have many unique original features like 18th Century Bake ovens and working kitchen ranges, traditional Suffolk Brick floors, wattle and daub walls, 16th Century thatched roofs, massive Inglenook fireplaces, log fires, millstones and exposed beams galore and they are all lovingly restored and period furnished so that they are a joy just to be in.
The Grove Cottages holiday homes are situated in South Suffolk / East Anglia which is less than 2 hours for London or an hour from Cambridge and where the famous English Landscape painter John Constable was born and created such masterpieces as 'The Haywain'.
