Snow Cottage - sleeps 2
Snow Cottage is a single storey cottage and sleeps a couple it was once part of the farm dairy here at The old grove Farm and the 'Soldier' brickwork dates back to the 1700's. The main room has an old wood floor and an impressively high vaulted wooden ceiling. Snow Cottage is very cosy even without an open fire. Now converted into a cosy cottage it has an interesting mix of period and modern 'classic' antique furniture, which with its old highly polished wooden floor, creates a spacious 'loft feeling'. |

The Old Forge - sleeps 2
This gorgeous tiny place is absolutely ideal for a short break as it has really everything you need for a really comfortable and stylish stay including a fabulous vaulted and beamed bedroom and elegant designer shower but it is (along with Snow Cottage, without a fireplace/woodburner) the least expensive of our lovely cottages. The Old Forge is Grade II listed and in the centre of the picturesque village of Boxford overlooking the 15th Century church of St. Mary's. |

Rose Cottage - sleeps 2
Rose Cottage was once part of the early 1700's dairy here at The Old Grove Farm. Eventually converted into a cosy cottage it retains lots of character from its past, with it's high vaulted wooden ceilings, lime-washed walls, exposed beams and lovely open log fire. |

The Old Monkey - sleeps 2
A little bolt hole to enjoy Suffolk from: I think this lovely place will really appeal to a lot of my guests, especially those on short breaks who always ask how far the nearest pub, restaurant, shop, walk, cycle route is - because this place really ticks all those boxes. |

Dons Barn - sleeps 2
Dons Barn definitely has the Wow Factor. It was once the early 1700's Winnowing Barn of The Grove Farm. Now converted into a cosy cottage it has an impressive view over the Orchard through the massive Oak Barn door windows and you can watch the sunsetting from your bed on the galleried first floor. |

The Bakery - sleeps 2
Our Honeymooners Favourite. Since 1720 The Bakery provided bread for the old Grove Farm, now it is converted into an extremely cosy self-contained cottage. It has a very cosy open fire which you can sink back into the comfy sofa and watch as the ducks in the Orchard peck at the French doors for bread. |

Penny Cottage - sleeps 2
Penny Cottage is a wonderful historic weaver's cottage, crowded with original features. This beautiful house was built in the 16th century and is located in the tiny picturesque village of Lavenham. Lavenham was almost forgotten from the 1600's till recently and was featured in the Dimbleby's TV show as one of England's best preserved Medieval "Wool" Villages and it is the Jewel in the crown of Suffolk's many pretty villages. |

Bromans Barn - sleeps 2
This is a great place for a couple who want to explore Mersea Islands wonderful Nature reserves - you are on a farm that stretches down to the salt marsh nature reserves where seals bask. There are wonderful walks which will take you along the beaches straight from this very elegantly converted barn next to the pretty pond. |

The Coach House - sleeps 2
This 1650's cottage is very special luxurious retreat for a couple, as you see it is 5 Star luxury but with a very special feature of having its own lovely 17th Century Walled Garden to close out the world and its own wildflower meadow with nut and fruit trees and an ancient thatched Summer House where you can completely cocoon yourself in a wildlife sanctuary and gaze at the stars at night and keeping warm with cheerful pot bellied BBQ. Special indeed ! |

Mill Cottage - sleeps 2
Mill Cottage is a lovely airy conversion and overlooks the Mill Pond where you can go 'Wild Swimming'. This is a special place for those who want to be right away from traffic and enjoy the beauty of being in your own valley with 4 nature reserves all backing onto it. The Cottage is in a lovely little 'Back to the Good Life' setting in a remote small-holding in its own valley - all very, very eco. And it has its own 11 acre fenced in meadow where your doggies can hurtle around in total safety. There are Badger watching hides, an Owl Tower and a Story telling thatched hut - all very magical. |

Orchard Cottage - sleeps 5
Orchard Cottage was created out of the old hay and pigeon lofts that made up part of the long Eastern wall of the old enclosed farm quadrangles first built in the 1720's. It is our biggest cottage and sleeps 5 people very comfortably and a sixth in an emergency. |

Cobbs Cottage - sleeps 5
Cobbs Cottage is just outside Stoke-by-Nayland down a tiny single track lane. At the bottom of the hill is a green lane with a wooden footbridge across the ford from where you can walk up to the picturesque hamlet of Polstead. |
The Grove Cottages holiday cottages have many unique original features like 18th Century Bake ovens and working kitchen ranges, traditional Suffolk Brick floors, wattle and daub walls, 16th Century thatched roofs, massive Inglenook fireplaces, log fires, millstones and exposed beams galore and they are all lovingly restored and period furnished so that they are a joy just to be in.
The Grove Cottages holiday homes are situated in South Suffolk / East Anglia which is less than 2 hours for London or an hour from Cambridge and where the famous English Landscape painter John Constable was born and created such masterpieces as 'The Haywain'.
The Grove Cottages are available all year for weekend and midweek short breaks as well as weekly holidays and the accommodation sleeps from 2 to 6.
We are 4 star rated and provide bikes for our guests to explore the beautiful English countryside.
