Our cottages are filled with stunning historical and original features such as inglenook fireplaces, original Bake ovens and Suffolk Brick floors, beautiful stone floors, Belfast sinks, Persian rugs, lime wash walls, Wattle and Daub, antique Pine floors, Kelims, sumptuous antique textiles, worktops crafted from ancient Mill stones, double height glazing embedded in a weathered Oak frame.
Unlike many of todays holiday cottages we select cosy cottages with an authenticity in their unique and quirky features whilst keeping as much of the original charm and history which so many look to find in a cottage in the rural countryside.
These romantic cottages are very popular with honeymooners looking to chill out after the stressful run up to their important day. Couples also return to celebrate their anniversaries, birthdays and any other excuse they can think of.

Very many of our cottages are listed and all of them have lots of character, we believe is 'Restoration' not 'Renovation' so when you see a beautiful old exterior you will find inside a beautiful period interior and not a modern suburban renovation. Many of our cottages have been featured in magazines including ones featuring Restoration gems such as the wonderful work done on Cobblers Cottage which is fully restored from a timbered skeleton using only the original materials and methods the result is a fabulous authentic atmosphere that plasterboard and wall to wall carpeting can never ever compete with and an experience which guests treasure.
