Our Honeymooners Favourite. Since 1720 The Bakery provided bread for the old Grove Farm, now it is converted into an extremely cosy and romantic self-contained cottage. It has a pretty open fire in the original ancient Baking oven which you can watch as you sink back into the comfy sofa and enjoy the sunset over the Orchard gardens. The cottage has many characterful and original features like its brick floor, old beams and massive 'Kettle' which was State of the Art in 1700 for laundry and beer making. Pets Welcome |

Tara (Czech Republic) - sleeps 10, , Arrivals: Sundays only.
A romantic Holiday Cottage in the mountains Tara is our fabulous 300 year old log house that we have been carefully renovating in the original style for the past three years. We are now accepting guests to this magical place, the price is £850 per week and Tara very easily sleeps 10 in 6 bedrooms. The house is made entirely of wood and has been renovated completely in the traditional way even down to the individually 'handmade' wooden roof shingles (tiles). 'Tara' is situated in the middle of the famous Beskedy Mountain Nature Reserve in the Czech Republic close to the massive Sance reservoir lake and within view of the Slovak and Polish borders in the NE corner of the Czech Republic. This is an area which is visually beautiful with a rich history and many wonderful places to visit or just experience nature in its grandeur right on your doorstep. This is an ideal place for large family groups to get together and have a special time. Tara is Big so we do encourage at least 8 people to book it. Brno Airport (Ryan Air) is about 2 hrs away and Ostrava Airport (Czech Airlines) about 45 minutes. |
The Grove Cottages holiday cottages have many unique original features like 18th Century Bake ovens and working kitchen ranges, traditional Suffolk Brick floors, wattle and daub walls, 16th Century thatched roofs, massive Inglenook fireplaces, log fires, millstones and exposed beams galore and they are all lovingly restored and period furnished so that they are a joy just to be in.
The Grove Cottages holiday homes are situated in South Suffolk / East Anglia which is less than 2 hours for London or an hour from Cambridge and where the famous English Landscape painter John Constable was born and created such masterpieces as 'The Haywain'.
The Grove Cottages are available all year for weekend and midweek short breaks as well as weekly holidays and the accommodation sleeps from 2 to 6.
We are 4 star rated and provide bikes for our guests to explore the beautiful English countryside.
