Woodfarm House is the ideal base for families or a group of friends to explore what Suffolk has to offer,

It lies on the outskirts of the village of Crowfield on the Suffolk Tourist Route, along which many popular and interesting places are found, it is within easy striking distance of the lovely Suffolk Coastal destinations like Southwold, Thorpness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford.

Downstairs there is a large farmhouse kitchen with a big kitchen range and a big table which is the heart of the house. There is a handy downstairs shower room and a big larder room.

The hall leads through to the spacious sitting room with its beautiful inglenook fire place and round into the large formal dining room. Two staircases lead up to two double bedrooms and one twin. The main staircase is narrow and steep.

To get to the master double bedroom you walk through a single "landing" bedroom with its curtained off bed which provides some privacy, this bedroom is ideal for children. Please note that this room is the main access to the family bathroom.

Woodfarm House has three bathrooms, one of which is an ensuite. The 3rd bathroom with a power shower is on the ground floor, located next to the kitchen.

The cottage has a fenced and sunny kitchen garden and at the front there is a pretty barbeque area and lots of space to lie around in, with a fun wooded area for kids to enjoy.

The cottage is down a tiny countryside lane, a few hundred yards outside the village. Bikes are provided for you to enjoy these pretty lanes.

Please Note: Set back behind the property is a small business centre and opposite are open fields. See the last thumbnail above. Behind where the car is parked is the small business centre. A low hum from here can sometimes be heard from the gardens.

Woodfarm House in Crowfield is also very close to Stonham Barns, an ever popluar family destination for a fun day out where you can see birds of prey, play golf, shop and more.

Another place of interest to many is Tower Reclamation - A fantastic supplier of architectural salvage offering a wide selection of interesting antique building materials removed from Country Cottages, Farmhouses, Manor Houses and Victorian Workshops in Suffolk and the surrounding counties.

Woodfarm House is a very spacious 15th Century thatched farm house full of character and atmosphere where you can spread out and enjoy the house and this very rural area of Suffolk.

Well behaved Dogs are always welcome, please refer to this web page  All About Bringing Pets  for charges and how this cottage may suit your pet. It is preferred that dogs are kept in the farmhouse kitchen as the rest of the ground floor is carpeted and obviously not upstairs or on any furniture.

Please Note: The Granary (another of our cottages) is on the same grounds as Woodfarm House. It sleeps a couple and accepts dogs and is also the great solution for a group of 9 to spread between the two cottages.

Both cottages have their own places to park and their own gardens. See The Granary for more details.

Local Pubs

The Ten Bells- Our nearest pub. They serve some great Suffolk beers and the obligatory Aspall Cyder, which is an absolute ‘must-try’ whilst you are here. They do straight-forward pub food, cooked to order including great fish ‘n’ chips. It’s more pub than restaurant

The Four Horseshoes, Thornham Magna – 10 minutes away. Gorgeous 12th century Inn with a wealth of original features including a roaring fire, 500 year old well in the heart of the restaurant and low beamed ceilings. Great home-cooked food using local produce, accompanied by hand-pulled ales

The Highwayman, Creeting St Mary – 5 minutes away. Acosy atmosphere amongst the exposed timbers and galleried restaurant. They use seasonal local produce to produce British food with continental influences. They local real ales, an extensive wine list and a good selection of malt whiskies. You will also find Aspal Cyder again, you’ll see that a lot round here!

The Victoria, Earl Soham - 15 minutes away. Agreat old real ale pub that time seems to have forgotten! They have their own brewery producing Victoria and (you’ve guessed it) Albert ales. It’s a traditional pub with simple wood furnishings, bare floorboards and open fire. Home-made, good value meals available from a very varied menu at both lunchtimes and evenings. Can get busy but definitely worth a visit

The Doberman, Framsden – 10 minutes away. A small homely pub with a good reputation for food. No children under 14 allowed in the pub, but they may use the garden. Dating back to the 16th Century it was previously known as The Greyhound but was renamed by the current landlady, who used to be a successful breeder of Dobermans
