Please note the owners of The Old Reading Room have just replaced the open fire in the lounge with a woodburner, we're just waiting for the cottage to be available to get in there and take some new pictures. There is still a working open fire in the bedroom.

This Old Reading Room is in the heart of Suffolks prettiest Hamlet, open fires in the sitting room and bedroom make this especially cosy and romantic.

In the picture above, The Old Reading Room is just opposite where the 4x4 is parked in the heart of Kersey.

This lovely little cottage is an absolute perfect getaway from hectic city life.

Kersey without doubt the prettiest tiny village in Suffolk: you can see most of it in the picture above !

The Old Reading Room is close to 'The Splash' where the stream runs over 'The Street', on the other side is one of our favourite Pubs: The Bell, always a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a big log fire, a good pint and some decent uncomplicated food.

The Old Reading Room is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy the English Rural idyll: beautiful walks straight from your cottage in this fairytale hamlet, wonderful pubs and historic tiny villages are all the way up and down the river valleys and the official South Suffolk cycle route runs right past the cottage as it meanders through the beautiful Suffolk countryside to Historic Lavenham.

The Main room where the Breakfast bar, big sofas and open log fire is, used to originally be the village bake house and you can still see the wonderful array of ancient ovens in the wall including an unusual trolley system for loading the ovens.

Upstairs there is a lovely bright bedroom again with an open log fire and a king size bed - just how romantic do you want a place to be - and a neat little shower bathroom.

There is a tiny but sunny little patio at the back, enough for breakfast in the sun and has the advantage of being completely enclosed.

This is a very romantic little cottage in a very special location, ideal for walking, cycling or just cuddling up on the sofa and staring into the log fire.

Sorry but no pets can be accepted in this cottage.
