My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. We found the cottage very warm and comfy. The rooms were lovely and spacious. The welcome pack was great as we had travelled from Aberdeen and we did not have to worry about finding basic food stuffs. We came in the lights and radio was on, a lovely welcome. Lovely peaceful spot with lovely views.

Scrumpy's is a lovely cosy and comfy place. Our welcome pack was much appreciated. Lavenham is one of the most attractive villages I have been. Everyone was very friendly, it has lots of places to eat. The Angel is a must! The food was lovely and prices were good. But if you want to cook your own food the butchers in Lavenham opposite the Swan is an excellent butchers. What a lovely part of the country Suffolk is and so much more to see, we will be back!!

Here for a few short days visiting an elderly relative in hospital, we discovered the quiet backroads and footpaths of this part of deep rural Suffolk. Time really can stand still here.

Monday, 22nd of March, 2010, Rebecca and Nigel:
We recently spent a wonderful 6 months at Scrumpy's whilst in the process of relocating to Suffolk. The barn made an extremely comfortable and cosy abode for our extended stay, with all the home comforts we could have asked for. Scrumpy's is in a fabulous location; nestled in a quiet spot which has an abundance of walks on the doorstep (including many which are very dog friendly and safe), and so a step just out of the front door can take you in a few different directions to enjoy the peace and scenery. The barn has very easy access to many wonderful places that Suffolk has on offer including Long Melford and Lavenham, in addition to a long list of good pubs and all the amenities and sites of Hadleigh even closer to home. We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay, and feel lucky to have started life in Suffolk in such a beautiful spot.
