Sleeping 3 for the price of 2 and accepting pets, This Romantic Cottage with its open log fire has an extra touch of luxury in a wonderful village setting. The famous 'Wool' Church and the stately homes of Kentwell Hall and Melford Hall (NT) are just on the other side of the Green.

Fey Cottage is located on the outskirts of the bustling Medieval village of Long Melford just off the beautiful “Green”. Long Melford is one of Suffolk’s prettiest villages and was made famous by being the setting for the TV series Lovejoy, the antique dealing detective and is now a haven for antique hunters.

Fey Cottage is a sweet little flax worker cottage in a terrace of 18th Century grade II listed cottages beside the busy A1093 road and for those seeking a quiet retreat we have other cottages better suited, but being in an Historic Village location this cottage is really perfect for those who want to be a stroll away from interesting pubs, restaurants, stately homes, antique warehouses and interesting shops with lovely countryside walks straight from its back garden.

This charming self catering cottage is ideal for a couple but can easily accommodate an extra child or a third adult and welcomes pets.

Outside there is a lovely sunny garden which is enclosed and backs on to footpaths and open fields. Shown in an image above.

You enter the cottage into the main room with its lovely open log fire and cosy settee and armchair, the floor is made of original 'Suffolk White' bricks and has a large Persian rug.

It also features all the mods cons of Wifi, 5.1 surround sound, Digital televisions and an ipod dock.

Behind the sofa sit the table and chairs to enjoy your complimentary breakfast basket in style.

Open stairs lead up to a small single bedroom and the very pretty master bedroom with exposed beams and brickwork.

This cottage is best suited to a couple with a child or three adults.

Through the sitting room you access a very well organised and equipped kitchen overlooking the sunny enclosed garden. Also on the ground floor, opposite the kitchen is a good bathroom with a bath with integrated modern shower enclosure.

There are very many historic buildings in the village, best known are Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, which is famous for its Tudor re-enactments. Both are open for public viewing.

This is a lovely cottage for 3 people to share and explore Long Melford and the best that Suffolk has to offer.

Well behaved Dogs are always welcome, please refer to this web page  All About Bringing Pets  for charges and how this cottage may suit your pet.

Another lovely stay with Grove Cottages. We stayed at Mint Cottage almost exactly two years ago on our honeymoon and Fey Cottage was the perfect choice for our first holiday with our three month old son. It’s a lovely cosy cottage and just a short walk from the charming village at Long Melford with plenty of shops and pubs.
