Cottage Walk Through

  • You enter the barn into a beautiful and airy contemporary room with lots of light and lovely views over your private garden though the floor to ceiling windows.

  • The classic furniture elegantly sets off the original 500 year old beam work of this lovely thatched barn.

  • This is a beautiful room to relax into and enjoy the impressive style and lovely views from.

  • Around the corner of this open plan space is a well-equipped spacious kitchen and as you eat your meals you can even open the semi glazed stable doors to really enjoy the sunny garden.

  • Upstairs is a romantic gantry bedroom with large light filled windows and a bannistered gantry overlooking the downstairs dining area.

  • The bed has no footboard and is a Super King at 6 foot wide and 6'6" long.

  • There is an ensuite bathroom with a bath with a handheld shower attachment.

  • Throughout the barn are lovely elegant and stylish touches like the classic designer and antique furniture, the beautiful Persian Rugs, icon and mood lighting and the wonderful feeling of space and tranquillity.

  • Deepwell Barn is an ideal romantic retreat, where you can really relax just by being in it, or lying around in the 2 acre garden soaking up the fresh air and picturesque nature from your hammock or playing boules.

  • You can even cosy up in the Bell tent in a glade in the garden and watch the sunset and the fire-pit flames slowly light up your camp.

Outside

  • One of the big attractions of this charming cottage is the outside area.

  • You go out of the stables doors directly into your own private garden and to the left is a sunny terrace with bench chairs, table and umbrella where you can eat ‘Al Fresco’ privately.

  • As you cross the drive you enter a magical 2 acre area of grassy woodland glades, lawns and Orchard, here you can just stroll around or swing from trees, lie in a big hammock, enjoy the Bell tent, or light up the fire-pit and enjoy a sun-downer on the pretty French table and chairs as you look out over the rolling countryside.

  • If you are feeling a bit more active then you can play boules, badminton or croquet as there is ample space and all equipment is supplied…

  • You can even walk across the fields to The Buxhall Crown which is just 25 minutes away for a well earned pint and a decent meal.

Local Area

  • Set in the very rural Vale of Buxhall, surrounded by gentle rolling hills and views over the fields, Deepwell Barn is in an area of beautiful countryside, woods and arable farmland.

  • There are plenty of footpaths for walking and local picturesque villages to visit, good pubs for a pint or a spot of food, and beyond, the impressive market town of Bury St Edmunds has a rich history and mix of architecture as well as good shops and restaurants.

  • If you feel like going out there are bikes to explore the tiny country lanes and pubs, with the famous Medieval Villages of KerseyLavenham and Long Melford a short drive away. Deepwell Barn is just 3 miles from the town of Stowmarket and 20 minutes from the beautiful Historic Market Town of Bury St Edmunds.
